Franklin, KY – Vybond Group, Inc. has announced the launch of Polyken® 790 Clear Flash and Seam Tape, a premium‑grade acrylic sealing solution designed for reliable, all‑weather performance and a clean, inspection‑friendly finish at the building envelope.

Clear flashing designed to perform in every season.
Clear flashing designed to perform in every season.Engineered for window and door flashing, vertical transitions, and wall panel seams, 790 Clear delivers dependable adhesion across a wide range of jobsite conditions, from colder starts to warm‑weather installs, without sacrificing appearance or control. The tape installs at temperatures as low as 20°F without primer and maintains performance through heat, moisture, and extended exposure during construction.
It’s clear, flat film backing lays smooth and allows underlying substrates and fasteners to remain visible, helping installers and inspectors easily verify proper coverage and sealing. This visibility makes 790 Clear particularly well suited for applications where precision, documentation, and clean aesthetics matter.
Polyken 790 Clear pairs a low VOC acrylic adhesive with a durable PP flat film backing to provide consistent adhesion to common building materials, including OSB, sheathing, housewraps, and window flashing components. The tape is UV resistant for up to 180 days, supporting long lasting performance through varied weather conditions and construction schedules.
“A flashing tape should perform no matter the conditions, and still look clean at inspection,” says a Vybond representative. “Polyken 790 Clear combines all weather reliability with clear visibility, so crews can install with confidence and inspectors can verify the seal without question.”
This flashing/seam tape is designed for projects that demand durability, clarity, and confidence from install through close out, with additional variations also offered with Black and White films to support applications where contrast, aesthetics, or specification requirements are preferred.
